Mural for Havensteder
This mural is a re-design of a mural painted by Nina Valkhoff in 2019. The first mural consisted of a botanical composition with a big bumblebee, an artichoke, and several plants. Unfortunately, in February 2022 storm Eunice severely damaged the wall. Big parts of the wall came down, and the mural was destroyed. In 2024 the wall was finally restored, and in July 2025 Nina came back to paint a re-imagined version. She used input from the neighbourhood to make changes to the design. The artichoke was replaced by beans, and the beloved bird from the first mural came back more prominent. The bumblebee needed a new spot on the wall as well.
